Why Choosing Materials Engineering

There is an interesting quote from the Head of Materials Engineering Dr.rer.nat. Mardiyati S.Si., M.T who said ""Without Materials, There's No Engineering!"

Materials engineering includes learning related to materials such as metals, polymers, composites, ceramics, to batteries. Which discusses the relationship between material characterization, material structure, properties, and processing, which will ultimately have an impact on material performance.

So that in materials engineering we get an analytical and structured learning experience to be able to produce a material with the performance needed in the industrial world.

Why I'm Interested in Finance and Economics

My interest in the financial world began in 2019 and I found a video that talked about mutual funds. Since then, I have tried to dig up more information related to investment, especially mutual funds. In 2019, in the 3rd grade of high school, I opened my first investment account in mutual funds. After that, I explored various things related to investment.

In 2020, precisely during the economic collapse due to Covid 19, I was at a moment where stock prices were at their lowest point after several years. That's where I took the opportunity to get into stock investing. From there with very minimal capital and very minimal knowledge, I managed to get a very large percentage of profit. Therefore, I became more and more interested in the world of investment.

From that experience, I became very interested in the world of economics, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, and everything related to finance. I really hope I can be someone who can contribute a lot to this industry.
